Wayfindr receives £300,000 from Big Lottery Fund to help vision impaired people travel independently
Wayfindr has received £300,000 from the Big Lottery Fund, the largest funder of community activity in the UK. We will be using National Lottery funding to help transform and further develop our Open Standard by continuing trials in a range of environments (such as transport, shopping centres, and hospitals) across the UK.
Wayfindr Open Standard Used at M-Enabling Summit with Right-Hear
At this year’s M-Enabling summit in Washington DC, the Wayfindr Open Standard for indoor audio navigation was used in the United States for the first time. Right-Hear, an advanced accessibility solution provider and Wayfindr Community Member, was available at the conference venue.
Wayfindr – Sydney Town Hall trial
In 2015, ustwo Sydney, Wayfindr and Sydney Trains partnered to trial audio navigation for people with vision impairment at Sydney's Town Hall Station.
