Wayfindr Audio Navigation Support
How Wayfindr can help you make your space more accessible
Wayfindr’s aim is to empower vision impaired people to travel confidently, spontaneously, and independently, using accessible audio navigation services. We provide consultancy support to help you understand, test, and deploy this transformational technology.
Our Open Standard gives you the tools to create inclusive and consistent experiences for your vision impaired customers. From transport networks and shopping centres, to hospitals and any other indoor space – we can help. Through our on-site trials and consultancy we will work together with you to experience how digital wayfinding can make your estate more accessible and inclusive.
Wayfindr delivered a highly successful trial in Los Angeles, California, USA in 2019. By combining our open standard with an advanced beacon-less technology we showed that 95% of users would be more likely to use public transit services and 72% of users would prefer to use public transit over private car.
Click here for the report on this landmark trial that shows that a highly accurate alternative to a beacon-only approach will transform public services for people with vision impairment.

The Benefits of Audio Navigation
Audio Navigation is a cutting-edge accessibility solution that will make it possible for people with vision impairments to independently access and use your building or space, recognised in the BSI Design of an accessible and inclusive built environment standard (BSI 8300 Part 2).
In the UK alone, £240 billion a year goes unspent because people with disabilities cannot access the products and services they need and want to buy. Audio navigation will make it possible for more people to access your built environment and spend their money.
Audio Navigation can be provided in a range of different languages, meeting the needs of a wide range of users. It can be used to provide tailored augmented reality guidance to users with different needs, e.g. directing a wheelchair user along a step-free route.
As well as meeting the needs of persons with disabilities, audio navigation improves the wayfinding experience for all users. It can improve the flow of people through space, reducing stress and overcrowding and thereby improving the overall customer experience.
